Names

A certain amount of letters.
it sort of,
well,
selects you.

Mine is five letters.

It puts me
in my place.

the first name
is always
most important.

you could be
beautiful,

but if your
name,
was,

"complicated"

your big chance
is suddenly on a diet.

Names select you
entireley.

So give your
children good ones.

Lost In Those Eyes

I'm lost in your eyes,
so blue,
so sorry.

I see sorrow,
violence,
hurt,
death,
what can I do?

Lost in the eyes
of an ocean blue,
that twinkle
like the stars
on a pitch black
winter night.

Lost
in a partial
world outside our own.

Man and His Words

Skin shows

that she is gone.

We loved her,

then,

he let her go.

-Hollister

Givin' not Recievin'

I gave you my heart
but you did'nt except.

It is something,
you should have kept

Now that I have moved on,
You want me back

But,
you lost
your chance.

Fallin' In Love

I whisper
beautiful one
delicate chocolate

the moment is special,

I am there,
I feel...
gorgeous.

Music to my heart

I feel the rythm
boiling up inside
me.

Getting furious
cause,
it can't
escape.

And then,
it releases.

slow
and
steady

but excavating
into me.
Harder and
deeper

but it can
not rule me.
I am the decision,
not the idea.

And that is that.

My interpretation of The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost

Robert Frost is explaining to humanity that even
though someone else was trying to convince him
to go a path that he knows he will regret taking,
he chooses his own way and that surprised the
people of his community. And so he repeats his
decision to the next generation hoping they, too,
will take the road less traveled by,cause, it will
end up better in the end.

-Hollister

The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth.

Then took the other,as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same.

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh,I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

-Robert Frost(1915)

Gone

No one wanted him to live,
No one cared if he died,
But us.

I lied,restless in bed.
That one frozen night.

I saw the phone cord twist,
and i knew,

He was there,
But he was gone.

Summer Gone

In love,
forever.

Lost in time.

Untill you broke my heart.

Now you want me back.

That summer,
is long
gone.

Sea Glass

The color of ocean,
color of night.

The sea creates a beautiful
masterpiece.

And forever it shows,

The sea glass.

-Hollister

Hill

Why such I fall a snowfull hill,
for I wish to remain unill.

I watch as mans best friend
cleans his fur.

Why I should not let him stir.
Now lightning bugs assist the moon to show

the

way

home.

-Hollister

Water Ridges

They flow through,
out and back again.

But to no escape
they stay.

Always and forever,
they stay.

The heaviness
against my chest,
my heart,stopped.
The light
upon me.

I have hit

Questions and Answers

Why is the sky blue?
The artist liked the color blue.

Why is the ocean so vast?
It rained to much.

Why is the desert so hot?
Somebody forgot to turn the tanning light off.

What is the difference between mountains and volcanoes?
Volcanoes are suicidal.Mountains are not.

Why do we have clouds?
They are trampolines for the angels.

Why is the world round?
Face it.
We are the way we are
cause,
God made us that way.

-Hollister

Jacket

Cozy,

comforting,

unrealistic,

homey.

a place to turn to.

Blanketing me.

-Hollister

Autumn leaves

color,
almost,

too much.

Jabbing you,

almost to the point,
to go blind,

you can't capture it,

it's that elusive figure hiding in the corner.

But from memory,

it's held captive.

-Hollister

Snow

Bright white.

camaflouging the yard.
icycles forming,
slowly.

de-crunch,
snow breaking.

a trace left behind.

ahh.....ahh....
try to catch 'em on your tongue.

every single one, different from the last.

-Hollister

Style

T-shirt,
jeans,
boots,
ponytail,

ready,
to ride.

-Hollister

Mirror

dressed,
ready for school,

I appear finalized.

I glance,

and there,

I am.

-Hollister

Tune in Tune Out

As I walk away,
I tune in to listen.
I hear the bull charge,
as he passes, the clothes line sways.
The dew on the grass starts to glisten.
Standing tall as orders from a sarge.
and there stands pop,
remaining to wait,
in death,
silence.

True Colors

Red,White, and Blue all mean something.

Red tells us we have earned our respect.

White says,we are free.

Blue states, we are strong.

We are America.

-Hollister

Coquina shells

little creatures,

hiding.
From what?

who knows.

they dig in the moist sand to a
world we have yet unvailed.

with their shells painted as if angels
had the smallest detail incripted.

Only an artist,
could wish for
that gift.

Running

When I run I feel the wind through my hair.

While I run I feel the tingley sensation,
the rush over me like a stunami.

The finish line is near, and as I pass,
gravity rushes back over me,

and victory,

is mine.

-Hollister

Definitions

Defining me is defining you.
I would deny it but it's true.

We are all different in many ways.
And are born on different days.

We all have similarities,
but most of all,we ALL have special clarities.

-Hollister

Lifes' Sights'

I see it.
by the saw meadow,
grazing.

It's a buck.

Caught in the meadow,

lifes' sights'

-Hollister

Babys'

They sob,
they whine,
they poop,
they drool,

So many things a baby could do
but choose to do the things that
irritate us the most.

But,
in
the
end,

we love 'em anyways.

-Hollister

Thoughts

you always are hinking.

Whether you know it or not.

The gears in your head are continuously grinding.

It's not talking to yourself,
it's your concious,

speaking to you.
Ka-thum

that's him,
making those creepy sounds at night,

not
the boogieman.
Get used to it he'll be there
for the rest of your days.
Trapped in your mind,

forever imprisoned.

-Hollister

Sacrifice

Everyone must commit,
like it or not.

It's life or death,

not too hard to choose.

-Hollister

Weirton W.V.

Fresh morning,
ready to go.
Walk on the grass
feet freezing from the wet.

Time flies as the super highway
does.

lunch at eleven.
crispy chicken with chip chopped ham, potatoe salad,
not to mention that homemade lemonade.

Play tag in the yard,
Jilly's it.

Supper at three sharp.
Mashed taters, homemade rolls with butter and maybe,
if were lucky, some sweet turkey to warm our lil' bellies.

Grandma,
I'm home.

A Light In The Dark

a light,
in the dark,

shining ever so slightly.

attracting,
as if a magnet.

the desperate souls,

but something else,
is too,
attracted.

what is it?
Our curiosity,
leads us on,
and on,
and on.
